KL Forest Eco Park
If you're looking for undulation of the earth, you need not go all the way to the Melaka Sand Dunes as the KL Forest Eco Park is nothing short of steep climbs and decline. It was really not what I expected of it to be because for some reason I thought all parks are flat and wide. But does it fulfill the criteria of a Momentary Detachment? A place where you can detach from your phones and the hustle and bustle? Strangely, I'd say yes and no.
The KL Forest Eco Park is located at the base of the monumental KL Tower where you can occasionally see people base jumping. It's primary attraction, the canopy walk, perching over the majority of the park, a place where you can have a leisurely stroll atop the park. Beyond the canopy there is a circuit that leads back to the main entrance.
When in proximity with plants and nature, it does brings me a sense of relaxation. This is the main attribute of the park in terms of the detachment. However, paired with the honking and revving of cars. It doesn't exactly bring any peace. In addition to that, the thriving mosquito gang that was there gave me a thorough beat up and I left with bites everywhere. Sadly for us, the canopy walk was actually close for the day for maintenance work. So all we got to capture was the end of the walk where an 'Awas' sign is placed towards the end.
My getaway at the park was actually cut short due to the rain but there was honestly nothing much left to do since the canopy was not operational. If you do wish to visit the park, here are some tips; sunblock, bugs repellent and water. The park doesn't have any facilities as it was a pretty small one. All in all a decent place to visit but unfortunately I was hit with a series of unforeseen problems such as the canopy walk and the rain.

No relaxation, canopy under maintenance, it seems like a wasted trip i guess
