Melaka Sand Dunes
The sand dunes in Malacca epitomizes our lives, a multitude of ups and downs, gravelly and painful. Similar to going to the university despite the horrendous haze. Yet there are beauty to it if you do seek for it. The reduction in traffic due to schools closing down to students not attending classes. In the case of the sand dunes, it is the view.
The sand dunes serves as a beautiful setting for photo shoots as well as a location to just have a walk. Taking this as an example, the bracelet that my girlfriend custom made for me, laid in the harsh dunes and beneath the setting sun.

All in all the travel to Malacca was a short one as I started my journey from Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. It only took us about 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive to the actual location. Hence, the reason why we arrived so early for the sunset as seen in the video.
One thing to keep in mind though, when travelling across states using Touch n Go. The e-Wallet from TnG is not widely accepted unless you are using it in the Klang Valley area as we had to get down from our cars and reload the physical card rather than just using our e-Wallet balances. Aside from that, it was a smooth journey to and back. One note though, do wear shoes rather than sandals as the sand there are far from smooth.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were a nice patch of green in this barren sand dunes
Although I did not manage to get the sunset shot that I was looking for due to the thick haze and general condition of the day itself, it was an experience I would not ever forget. Would I recommend coming to a place like this? It really depends on the purpose of the trip, if you're looking for a momentary detachment from your everyday life and you have many hours to spare, it might just be the perfect trip for you.
